Happy Birthday Carter Jane!!! We did it! We made it an entire year of bottles, naps, crinkly books, snuggles, and baby blankets. But more importantly we have gone an entire year loving you! You came into our life on September 19th, 2021 after over 36 hours of labor and we have loved you every second since.

It’s funny to me when I think back to when we found out that you were going to be a girl I felt so scared. I was scared that I wouldn’t know how to be a good “girl mom” to you. I wasn’t all that girly growing up and even still I am not up on the latest trends or fashions. But CJ girl I have to say, I would not want it any other way. There is something so special about picking out your outfits for every holiday and occasion, getting to “match” for family photos, and having a little sidekick who I get to do everything with. It is such a special bond that I know will only grow with us and I am so excited for the years to come.

Your first birthday theme was “Some Bunny is One” and we went all out! We celebrated in Columbia, S.C and all of your grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins were there to help you celebrate. You loved everything you were gifted, but you were not a fan of your birthday cake. Along with turning one you reached another huge milestone and took a few steps today! We are so proud of you and love you more than you can ever imagine! Happy Birthday Carter Jane!
